Fire It Up Baby

Summer weather is slowly creeping up on us (in stark contrast from last summer when it seemed to slap us in the face) which means that it is no longer acceptable to cook dinner inside our house. You guessed it, it's time to break out the grill.

If you read my family blog, you may remember that last year I bought a new grilling cookbook called Weber's Real Grilling I'm telling you people this is the BEST GRILLING BOOK EVER. I believe it is the first cookbook I've had that I've wanted to make every single recipe. So far I've made about 10 of them, and the book says there's over 200; so, that should keep me busy for a while. Here's a few pictures of what we've made. Above is the chicken tenders marinated in cilantro pesto with the slaw that goes with the fish tacos.

If you've never tried it, you should know that pizza on the grill is AWESOME.

Above is the Greek pork chop pitas I made. The tahini sauce dripping off of them is so delicious. After eating our servings, Nate and I quickly polished off another pita dipped in just the sauce. Direct quote from Nate: "Miranda this is really good...I mean like, really, really good.

Looks delicious. Your pictures look like they came right out of the cookbook. I think I need to check out that grilling book!

I'm pretty sure that you make the rest of us look bad because of your gormet cooking! I'm so proud! :) I'd love to say I had anything to do with your culinary skills, but I'm pretty sure junk food was the only thing I really went all out on with you and the girls! :) Miss ya, love ya!
