Wait. No. That last one is not it.
Regardless of the reason, I have come up with a solution. I think it's time to do something for all of you. Time to stop thinking so much about myself and time to start thinking more about my blogland friends. Let's have a giveaway, shall we?
All you have to do is leave a comment on this post to be entered to win. What do you do when you're feeling blah?
Comments will close on Wednesday, February 3, at 10:00 PM (mountain time) so hurry up and enter already! I will announce the winner right back here on this post. No extra entries this time; I want to give you regular readers a better chance of winning. Of course you're always welcome to spread the word. I'm sure there's some sort of Karma that goes along with that.
Happy Monday everybody and good luck!

I look at all my friend's blogs for inspiration! I've been feeling blah all of January, too. The smoggy weather is yuck. :)
One of Charlotte's friends once described January as a month of Mondays. That's about how this one has been for me, too.
Pray for February or eat chocolate. This is what I do when I feel blah. Although the result is usually just more blah. If I don't want anymore blah, then I take the kids out somewhere or exercise.
Me? I pout. And then I make spicy, ethnic foods.
(I like that comment about a month of Mondays. So true!)
A news story said that January 25 is officially the most depressing day of the year, so I smile about 1/25 being over and listen to Hawaiian slack key guitar or old-time music OR go outside OR think of the smiles of my children and grandchildren and realize how very fortunate I am!!!
P.S. Since I already have a bar of Mirands's awesome felted soap, I'll disqualify myself from the giveaway to give the rest of you a better chance of winning......and you know you want to because her soap is soooo COOL! I just wanted to leave a comment so Miranda would know how much I appreciate her blog... and her generosity!
Ooh, I do so want some of that felted soap!!
When I'm feeling blah, I do one of several things: bake, listen to upbeat music, read, or try to find something to do for someone else. That last one is a surefire way to take your mind off your own troubles! Looks like you had the same idea.
When I'm feeling blah, I put on a grey cardigan, skinny jeans, and my grey Converse. Last Thursday when I was feeling blah, I also called my Grandma, which was wonderful.
homemade cookies and a movie cuddling with jason.
how sweet of you! i hope i win!
January went a little too fast for me personally, but I am sure it is because I am about to pop and baby #3 should be making her debut anytime! But when I feel blah, I usually just sit around in my pj's and don't do anything! :) Sometimes it does feel good to do some cleaning too!
Go for a drive sans husband and kiddos and listen to Mark Cohn...my comfort artist.
When I'm feeling blah I sit on my couch and watch TV. When that gets old I get off my butt and do something productive like laundry.
I want some felted soap!
But, Wednesday is not February 2nd, yo.
Happy first of the month! January is now behind us - at last I hear you say!
Fab giveaway xx
This January has lasted forever. For. ev. er. And when I'm feeling blah, I tend to neglect duties like homework and indulge in Alias marathons while wearing stretchy pants. I probably could find a better way to deal with the blahs. Perhaps some felted soap could help in that department :)
I like January. I'm sad it's February. If I feel blah - I will mostly likely sit on the couch for hours and hours. But if I have the motivation to deblah, I will go for a hike.
I snatch up one of my cats and cuddle them while they try to escape. Then I go put cute band-aids on the scrapes I got from their claws. :)
I generally feel blah all winter long, and I pine for Springtime when I seem to come alive again. But... alas, Springtime is a few months away... so, in the meantime I look at the faces of my grandchildren, listen to them laugh, love on them a LOT, and realize how much I have to be thankful for. Then I think about my trips to Cambodia and Ethiopia, and I really realize how much I have to be thankful for, and how blessed I truly am.
Regarding your felty soaps, I truly feel that I am the most worthy of winning one. Not just because I'm certain I'm your favorite auntie, but because... um... ummm... well, to be honest, crafts are not my thing and the chances of my making one are slim to none. Every time I try and do a craft it comes out looking like (#@)*#.
Thank you for considering my heart-felt entry. :)
I watch the sunset and note the time...it gets lighter and lighter every day and this gives me hope that long days of summer are right around the corner!!
I go to a bookstore and mosey with a hot chocolate in hand.
Oh, for more days to revel in le blah!
I love a hot bath and a good book. Maybe I will try that right now :-)

I read your post first thing this morning, and it's been in the back of my mind all day. I seriously CAN NOT think of what I do when I get the "blahs". NOTHING comes to mind. NOTHING. I guess I sit around and wallow in all the "blah"! :)
When I have the blahs, I actually sit with Jo and watch whatever movie she wants to watch and laugh with her and at her and if she asks me if we can watch it again, I say "sure, why not." I actually play with my kids and do whatever they want to do. So at least in our house, when Mom has a blah day, its probably my girls' best day ever. Then when my husband gets home for lunch, I tell him its a pajama day and he is instantly jealous and I feel like the luckiest girl around. That usually takes care of it for me. (at least until I start feeling guilty for being lazy)
P.S. Happy Groundhog Day tomorrow!! We celebrate that in our family. Probably due to the January blues, it gives us something to look forward to all month long.
I run. I love to run on a cold january morning. I know I am weird.
When it is not five in the morning and I can't just leave my three children and go for a run, I clean something.
Love the soap...have to have some!!
When I'm feeling blah, sometimes I pop a HUGE bowl of popcorn (bigger than any one person alone should eat, I then eat it by myself!) and watch Dirty Dancing or Footloose...I then proceed to dance around my living room!!
So, another question...do you use photoshop? Where do you find the great fonts on your pics? I got the program for x-mas and I'm learning my way through it.
ALSO, while going through old pictures last night looking for some for our adoption stuff I found one of us doing a dance at a High School b-ball half time. The song was "FAT" by Weird Al...it's priceless...I'll post it for us to admire at a later date!! Hope things are great for you guys!! I love your blog...keep it up!! It gives me great ideas for new stuff...i get stuck in a crafting rut sometimes!! Later Skater...
