Giveaway :: The Mini Mart

Marta-giveaway

Even though I spend
an awful lot of time talking about yarn and fabric on this little blog, I still have a secret obsession with paper. Actually, if you took a good look at my craft room you would realize that it isn't a secret at all. But I'm fairly certain that my paper-crafting skills don't hold a candle to Marta's.

I'm also fairly certain that most of you read Marta's blog. I recommend adding her to your reader if you're looking for daily doses of inspiration, daily reminders of how beautiful everyd
ay life can be, daily confirmation that it is hard for everyone to keep a clean kitchen with a toddler toddling behind you, and daily posts that read like you're chatting with your best friend. Plus she lives in Idaho—and that's where I live—so, you know.

Every time Marta posts one of her many paper crafts or brilliant artistic ventures it reconfirms in my mind that she truly is a paper girl. I am thrilled that she is sharing some of her paper wares with you for today's giveaway.

The Details:
Marta is kindly offering a set of 6 homemade holiday cards + 2 sheets of Jolly Old St. Nick stickers to one lucky Narrating Life reader!

How to enter:
:: Check out Marta's shop to get a glimpse of her lovely paper goods.
:: Leave a comment on this post: What makes you feel like the holidays have officially started? For me, it is drinking peppermint hot chocolate—oh yeah, then it's on.
:: Grab the Handmade Holiday button and post it on your blog/website for an extra entry. Please leave me an additional comment letting me know you've done so.
:: Comments close on Thursday, November 18th at 10:00 PM, MST. The winner will be announced on this post so be sure to check back to see if you've won!

I feel that the holidays have officially started once Thanksgiving is done and over...and the radio stations are playing christmas music non-stop. :) amiedanny@msn.com

Christmas is here when my decorations are up (after Thanksgiving dinner) and I've watched Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer and It's a Wonderful Life.

I start getting that Holiday Buzz about a week after Halloween. But I consider Thanksgiving to be part of the "Holidays". It's official as soon as I allow myself to start listening to my favorite christmas music. I usually give in about a week before Thanksgiving. I know I am sort of jumping the gun, but it just feels so good :)

And, I have your button.

I think it's got to be the Christmas music...which I try so hard to hold off until Dec 1st.

Thanksgiving is what makes me feel like the holidays have officially arrived... it's the first big family gathering with way too much food for our own good.

I love Marta's stuff. She is oh so talented.

When I get the urge to start Christmas crafting I know there's no turning back.

Christmas always starts in my mind when they dedicate an aisle in the supermarket to seasonal food - nothing says the festive season is on its way like the sight of mince pies on the shelves.

It used to be the Christmas music, but now that starts before and around Halloween, so I've been withdrawing from that. The funny thing is that holidays start inside me when I get out my Halloween decorations. I'm not much of a season decorator - except for the last 3 months of the year.

For me in CA, the holiday feeling comes with the first crisp, chilly day. Before that, the beach weather still has us tied to summer. :D

once december starts (chilly weather, backed goods, music...), the holiday season is here!

I have added the button! :D

Thanksgiving is the start, but it's official when the tree is up and the candles are in the windows. Thanks for the giveaway!

Oh, pick me!
I start "feeling" Christmas as early as March (no kidding). I think the Incarnation is way too cool for a few weeks worth of attention. But practically and publicly speaking, Thanksgiving starts off the holidays for me, and I don't feel they end until mid-January.
I'm posting the Handmade Holiday button right now at our blog: thishawksnest.blogspot.com.

Thank you for the opportunity!

I do love Marta's blog! How cute are those Santa labels??

I guess Thanksgiving signals the real start for me, that and having my decorations up. I usually put them up the day after Thanksgiving, but I'm considering doing it earlier this year... I've already been listening to Christmas music on the radio, but I haven't put all my Christmas cds in the car yet.

Great giveaway- I love Marta!

For us,the holidays have a already started because we're nearly done with our holiday shopping- I'm not trying to brag- we don't have many to shop for, and as my husband says, shopping's my hobby.

Anyway, I agree about the pep hot chocolate- I call it Christmas in a cup!

My fabulous addiction to black Friday~that is when the Christmas starts for me.
We have been listening to Christmas music for months in the car on Sundays.
And who knows when (if) my house will get decorated.
Another good Christmas-shove is when we buy our tree and put it up. I love that day.

For me, the holidays have officially started just around Halloween. There is a chill in the air, the leaves are changing color, and hot apple cider all of a sudden seems appropriate. That's when I start getting excited about the good things to come.
